Shin Won Yoon

Korean-born ceramic artist and designer based in New York City, working in hand-built teaware and sculptural vessels fired in a gas kiln. Her pieces develop organic, cracked surface textures — created by hand-tearing the clay at the leather-hard stage — inspired by the lava fields of Hawaii and the black sand beaches of Iceland. Yoon has worked with clay for about four years and co-founded the New York tea and ceramics shop Tea Dealers in 2015 with Stefen Ramirez, first in the East Village and, since 2024, on Hudson Street. Her ceramics have been featured at the Noguchi Museum and are carried by New York retail partners including Tea Dealers and Atelier New York, and represented in Love House's gallery roster.
