Shohei Shigematsu

Shohei Shigematsu is a partner at OMA and director of its New York office, which he has led since relocating from OMA's Rotterdam office in 2006. Born in Fukuoka, Japan, he studied architecture at Kyushu University before joining OMA in 1998, becoming partner in 2008. His projects include Milstein Hall at Cornell University, the Faena Forum in Miami Beach, a new museum for the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, and the renovation of Sotheby's New York headquarters. He has taught at Cornell, Harvard GSD, and Columbia.
