Founder and chairman of SBLD Studio, an architectural lighting design practice she launched in New York City in 1994 after training at Parsons and working at Fisher Marantz and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. The firm's projects include JFK International Terminal 4, Singapore's Changi Airport Terminal, and the New York Times Building. SBLD Studio is certified as a minority- and woman-owned business with staff based in New York and New Jersey; day-to-day leadership now sits with president Bruce Taylor.
