Swati Jain

Swati Jain is an architectural designer, artist, and researcher, and founder and creative director of Unown Space, a New York City studio she launched in 2019. She also serves as adjunct faculty at Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Her transdisciplinary practice spans architecture, exhibition design, filmmaking, furniture, and fashion, often engaging cultural and gender narratives in domestic space; she wrote and directed the short film Kitchen Evolution, which examines the kitchen as a site of resistance.
