Younsung Chung

Younsung Chung is a Principal at S9Architecture in New York with more than two decades of experience, focused on design that connects landscape and architecture, interior and exterior spaces, and public and private environments. Since joining the firm as a senior designer in 2014, he has led projects including Dock 72 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, 111 Varick, the Cleveland Foundation headquarters, the Water Building II at the Wharf, and Gasworx, spanning multifamily residential, urban redevelopment, and nonprofit institutional work. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Seoul National University and a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University.
