Alice Riehl's Porcelain Florilegium
Feb 28 – Oct 4, 2026
About
French porcelain artist Alice Riehl, trained since 2003 at the ceramics institute in Sèvres, presents large-scale wall murals reimagining root systems and pioneer plant species that take hold in urban environments. The hand-modeled, asymmetrical compositions are built by pressing organic materials into soft clay and draw on medieval and Renaissance tapestry imagery, rewarding both distant and close-up viewing for their light-catching texture. A featured work, Timidité (2025), anchors the installation.
