MAD's free outdoor festival on 58th Street pairs hands-on collaborative art-making for all ages with an appearance by The People's Bus, a traveling creative initiative that engages New York City residents in civic participation through art. The event is supported by the New York State Council on the Arts, the city's Department of Cultural Affairs and City Council, and Vitamin Water. Registration is free but separate from general museum admission.
