This multi-year rehang of Cooper Hewitt's first-floor galleries installs 125 objects from the permanent collection around curatorial methodologies such as Play and Tweak, Repeat, Transform, and Show Off, framing design as a civic, everyday practice rather than a specialist pursuit. Funded in part through the Smithsonian's "Our Shared Future: 250" initiative marking the institution's 250th anniversary, the installation rotates objects over its run, with exhibition design by JA Projects and graphics by Pacific.
