Exhibition
Designing the Gilded Age: Drawings from the Studios of Louis C. Tiffany
Oct 22, 2026 – Feb 7, 2027
About
Drawn from the Met's own holdings, this exhibition presents 150 rarely seen design drawings produced inside Louis Comfort Tiffany's studios for stained-glass windows, lamps, mosaics, and interiors. Curator Alice Cooney Frelinghuysen's accompanying catalog foregrounds the studio's uncredited designers, including women and immigrant artists whose work was long subsumed under the Tiffany name; many drawings on view have been newly conserved after decades of damage.
