Brooklyn-based artist Devon Turnbull (also known as OJAS) built this large-scale, handmade high-fidelity sound system as a functional sculpture, installed within Cooper Hewitt's historic Carnegie Library reading room. Finished in pale wood and engineered for warm, natural sound reproduction, the system anchors a rotating program of listening sessions, with floor and bench seating that invites visitors to remove their shoes and settle in for extended listening.
