Exhibition
Love & Fury: New York's Fight Against AIDS
Mar 13 – Sep 6, 2026
About
Curated by historian Ian Bradley-Perrin, who has lived with HIV for more than fifteen years, the exhibition traces New York's grassroots AIDS response through graphic design, from the earliest reported illnesses among young gay men in the early 1980s and the CDC's 1982 naming of the disease through 2003. Posters and ephemera from ACT UP, Gay Men's Health Crisis, and artists including Keith Haring, Milton Glaser, and Paul Davis document community bulletins, safe-sex campaigns, and advocacy actions organized outside official public-health channels.
