Noguchi's New York

About

Marking the Noguchi Museum's 40th anniversary, this exhibition traces Isamu Noguchi's lifelong relationship with New York City through more than 50 sculptures, project models, photographs, and archival materials. It highlights his repeated attempts to design public playgrounds and communal spaces, many blocked by Parks Commissioner Robert Moses, and includes hand-painted animated films by Nicolas Ménard and Jack Cunningham of Eastend Western reimagining his unrealized playground designs.
