Now in its fourth edition, Van Alen's bi-annual gathering pairs a panel discussion with informal networking for people working across public art, from curators to fabricators; past speakers have come from Madison Square Park, the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, and Powerhouse Arts. The series was created by artist Mia Pearlman, who also writes the newsletter Inside/Outside.
