About

Part of the Skyscraper Museum's lecture series tied to The Invention of Park Avenue, this talk examines how the avenue's median, created between 1903 and 1913 when the New York Central Railroad buried its tracks, has expanded and contracted over the past century. It covers the current rehabilitation of the underlying viaduct by NYC DOT and MTA Metro-North and landscape architects Starr Whitehouse's plan to widen the median.
