Recipe for a Room 2026: Places for Repair

Two-person teams pairing an NYC architecture or design student with a licensed architect or interior-designer mentor build miniature rooms, physical models at 1-inch-to-1-foot scale, responding to this year's theme of spaces that repair something the team identifies as broken in the city. Teams present slide boards and a short video to a panel of judges and a live audience, with both a Judges' Favorite and an Audience Favorite chosen by vote. The annual contest, run by the AIANY Interiors Committee, benefits Repair Café El Barrio in East Harlem.
