The Invention of Park Avenue
Feb 24 – Dec 31, 2026
About
The Skyscraper Museum traces how the 70-acre rail yard beneath Grand Central became Park Avenue after the New York Central Railroad began electrifying and double-decking its tracks in 1903. Scratch-built and 3D-printed models, some contributed by hobbyist modelmakers, chart the corridor's shift from a hotel-and-apartment address to a corporate corridor anchored by towers like Lever House and the Seagram Building.
