Fabrication WorkshopEst. 2007Brooklyn Navy Yard design-and-production studio delivering experiential installations, retail environments, and custom fabrication for brand and agency clients. The vertically integrated studio operates roughly 100,000 square feet of fabrication floor space in Building 28, with technical design, engineering, and production teams working across wood, metal, and finishing disciplines. Founded in 2007 by Michael Bednark, the studio grew from its original Gowanus location through a Bushwick facility before signing a 10-year lease for its Navy Yard space in 2019; Raphael Sorcio now serves as CEO. Equipped with laser cutting, woodworking, spray-finishing, and overhead-crane capabilities, Bednark has produced projects including Airbnb's "The X-Mansion" and Nike's House of Innovation retail concept, with clients including Google, Gucci, LVMH, Prada, Burberry, Tiffany & Co., and Louis Vuitton.
