David Weeks Studio
Lighting MakerEst. 1996Lighting and furniture design studio founded by David Weeks in 1996 in Dumbo, Brooklyn, producing large-scale sculptural lighting fixtures alongside furniture and home accessories. Work is handmade in New York by a team of designers, engineers, and artisans, and the studio also maintains a Tribeca, Manhattan atelier. Weeks, a RISD graduate, gained early recognition for a line of desk lamps shown at the 1997 ICFF fair, and the studio spent roughly a decade in a collaborative arrangement with the Ralph Pucci showroom, developing lighting, upholstered furniture, and sculptural objects together. The Tribeca space, opened in 2013, doubles as a gallery and creative lab showcasing the full range of the studio's collaborations.
