Founder at David Weeks Studio

Brooklyn-based lighting and furniture designer who founded David Weeks Studio in 1996 after studying sculpture and painting at RISD, following a stint in Ted Muehling's Manhattan studio. Known for a sculptural, hands-on process exploring scale, balance, and movement, the studio produces lighting, furniture, textiles, and objects, with past collaborations including Roll & Hill, Moroso, Tala, Areaware, and product lines such as the Sarus lighting collection for Ralph Pucci and Semana chairs for Habitat UK. Weeks received multiple Cooper Hewitt National Design Award nominations and Editor Awards at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in 1999 and 2001, taught at Parsons School of Design from 1998 to 2006, and has been commissioned by Barneys New York, Kate Spade, Saks Fifth Avenue, and MGM Grand Las Vegas.
