Eskayel

Williamsburg, Brooklyn textile design studio founded in 2008 by artist Shanan Campanaro. Eskayel produces made-to-order wallpaper, fabric, hand-knotted rugs, and art prints built from Campanaro's original watercolor paintings, with an archive of more than 800 patterns manufactured in the U.S. Campanaro, who holds a BFA from Central Saint Martins in London, launched the studio after painting wallpaper for her own apartment, continuing a graphic design job at Express until 2010 before running Eskayel full time. The company expanded into hand-knotted rugs by 2014 and has produced an exclusive wallpaper collaboration with furniture maker Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, working from its Williamsburg studio with longtime New York showroom partner Studio Four NYC.
