Jim Conti Lighting Design

Jim Conti Lighting Design is an independent architectural lighting practice run by Jim Conti, who moved to New York in 1986 and established the firm in 1998. Early work included the Glowing Topiary Garden in Lower Manhattan with landscape architect Ken Smith, which won a Lumen Award; the practice has since earned IES, IALD, and Cooper Source honors, including a 2023 AIANY Design Award for TheatreSquared in Fayetteville, AR. Conti also teaches at Pratt Institute and contributes to IESNYC's Lighting 311 code initiative.
