Lindsey Adelman Studio

Lindsey Adelman Studio is a NoHo, Manhattan lighting studio founded by Lindsey Adelman in 2006, working from an appointment-only studio and showroom on Lafayette Street. The studio creates hand-blown glass and metal chandeliers and sconces, including the Branching Bubble and Agnes collections, offered as limited-edition and made-to-order pieces sold internationally. Adelman earned an MFA in industrial design from RISD in 1996 after an earlier career detour through the Smithsonian, and co-founded the short-lived studio Butter with designer David Weeks around 2000 before launching her own studio in 2006. By 2014 the studio employed 27 people producing roughly 70 chandeliers a month, and its work has been shown at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum and the Museum of Arts and Design; several designs, including the Drop System and Kingdom collections, hold U.S. design patents.
