Mitropoulos Architects is a boutique residential architecture practice based in Douglaston, Queens, serving clients across the New York metropolitan area and eastern Long Island. Formed in January 1985 as a partnership between Andrew and Philip Mitropoulos, the firm continues under principal Philip A. Mitropoulos, AIA, NCARB, who joined in 1984 and has provided architectural services for more than 40 years. The firm specializes in custom single-family residences, including projects in New York City historic districts and Long Island waterfront properties, alongside retail stores, commercial interiors, and work for not-for-profit and government agencies such as housing for people with disabilities, health-related facilities, and child care centers.
