Philip A. Mitropoulos, AIA, is the Owner and Principal of Mitropoulos Architects, a boutique residential practice founded by his father in 1957 that specializes in custom single-family residences in New York City historic districts and on Long Island waterfront properties. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1979 and a Bachelor of Architecture in 1980, and is registered to practice in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Before joining the family firm in 1984, he worked at Beyer Blinder Belle, contributing to design and production drawings for Barneys New York.
