Newcomb Studios (Nicholas Newcomb Pottery & Sculpture)

Flatbush, Brooklyn ceramics studio led by Nicholas Newcomb, who trained under master potter Toshiko Takaezu, producing handmade tableware, home accessories, art objects, and custom ceramic lighting. Works are wheel-thrown and individually made, and the studio also collaborates with designers on product development. Newcomb, who grew up in upstate New York and the Hudson Valley, apprenticed under Takaezu before later working with Manhattan lamp designer Christopher Spitzmiller. His collections include the Colorfield Collection, developed with designer Patrick Mele, and the Hudson Valley Collection, and his work was included in the 2020 group exhibition "Ode to Psychic Pain" at Shelter Gallery in New York.
