Sydness Architects is a Midtown Manhattan architecture firm founded in 1996 by K. Jeffries Sydness, AIA. Before founding the firm, Sydness spent thirteen years at Johnson/Burgee Architects, becoming partner in 1988 and contributing to designs including the Takashimaya Building in New York and the Conrad International Hotel in Singapore. Sydness Architects' own work includes the St. Regis Shanghai Hotel, restoration of the Second Church of Christ, Scientist in Manhattan, and the residential towers The Alexander and Alexander Plaza in Turtle Bay, spanning residential, hospitality, commercial, and corporate interior projects.
