Zak + Fox

Zak + Fox is a Manhattan textile studio founded in 2012 by Zak Profera, working with weavers, printers, and artisans worldwide to produce wovens, prints, velvets, plains, sheers, and handmade rugs and wallpapers. Its trade-only showroom occupies the top floor of a restored early-twentieth-century building in Manhattan's Gramercy Park neighborhood. Profera, a Los Angeles native, named the company after his late Shiba Inu, nicknamed Fox, and has expanded the line from textiles and wallpaper into handmade rugs, a category he has described as requiring an entirely different set of techniques to master. The studio has collaborated with design brands including Apparatus, Soho House, and Jamb, and debuted its Harvest collection in Paris.
