Alex Locadia

New York-based designer and artist working across furniture, lighting, and sculptural audio objects. Trained first in automotive interior customization before studying at Parsons School of Design, Locadia has led the New York collaborative design firm Afuture. His work, including the Batman furniture collection for Warner Bros. and Iliad speakers for Panasonic, blends futurist forms with African and diasporic visual references and is held in the permanent collections of the Museum of Arts and Design and the Art Institute of Chicago. He is currently represented by the New York gallery Superhouse.
