Founding Principal, FAIA at Bernheimer Architecture PLLC

Andrew Bernheimer, FAIA, is founding principal of Bernheimer Architecture, a Brooklyn-based firm behind residential, civic, and cultural projects, including award-winning affordable multi-unit housing in New York City. He earned a BA from Williams College in 1990 and a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis in 1994, co-founded Della Valle Bernheimer in 1996, then started Bernheimer Architecture in 2011. He was elevated to the AIA College of Fellows in 2018 and received the AIANY Medal of Honor in 2023. He is an Associate Professor of Architecture at Parsons and edited Timber in the City and Fairy Tale Architecture.
