Arati Rao

Brooklyn-based founder and creative director of Tantuvi, a rug studio she launched in 2015 after an eight-month sabbatical in India studying traditional weaving following a career in corporate fashion. Rao designs geometric, contemporary rugs produced in collaboration with a seventh-generation family of Indian master weavers, using hand-dyeing and hand-loom techniques; Tantuvi's rugs have been carried by retailers including West Elm.
