Long Island City, Queens-based lighting and product design studio founded by Bec Brittain in 2011, known for sculptural, made-to-order fixtures such as the SHY Light. Brittain trained in product design at Parsons, philosophy at NYU, and architecture at the Architectural Association, and her small team hand-assembles and finishes every piece in New York with local fabricators. Before starting her studio, she worked in architectural hardware design at H. Theophile and served as design director for lighting designer Lindsey Adelman. Her collections include Aries, Echo, Seed, Zelda, and Unfurl, and in 2022 she presented Paraciphers, a solo exhibition of parachute-inspired lighting works, at Emma Scully Gallery in New York.
