Brian Messana

Brian Messana is co-founder of the New York architecture firm Messana O'Rorke, established with Toby O'Rorke in 1996. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he holds a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a master's degree from Columbia University (1992). He is a member of the AIA New York chapter, serving on its Interiors Committee and Committee on Residential Architecture, and is an adjunct professor at the New York Institute of Technology School of Architecture and Design, having previously taught at Columbia and Pratt Institute. In 2025 he was elevated to the AIA's College of Fellows.
