Painter and co-founder of Fort Street Studio, a hand-knotted carpet studio she runs with her husband Brad Davis from its New York showroom. Provisor and Davis paint the watercolor and mixed-media works that are translated into wild-silk and wool rugs, a process that helped popularize free-form, painterly patterns in the carpet trade. Their carpets are held in the Whitney Museum and Brooklyn Museum collections, and are the subject of the 2021 Rizzoli monograph The Tale of Warp and Weft.
