Juan Carlos Matiz

Juan Carlos Matiz, AIA, LEED AP, is the founder and principal of Matiz Architecture & Design (MAD), a New York firm he established in 2002. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute in 1994. MAD is a NYS/NYC MBE-certified, multidisciplinary studio working on educational, non-profit, and community projects, with clients including New York University, Columbia University, Pratt Institute, and The Santa Fe Opera. Matiz has also taught and served as a design critic at Parsons, FIT, City College, and Pratt Institute.
