Mattias Sellden

Stockholm-based designer whose sculptural, hand-shaped wood furniture blurs the line between object and art. Born in Uppsala, Sweden in 1986, Sellden holds a B.A. and M.A. in design from Konstfack, University of Arts, Crafts and Design, and works material-first, selecting different woods and surface treatments for each hand-carved piece. His furniture-as-sculpture is shown internationally through Friedman Benda's Design in Dialogue program.
