Misha Kahn

Brooklyn-based designer and sculptor (b. 1989, Duluth) known for exuberant, materially inventive furniture and objects that blend improvisational handcraft with digital tools. Kahn works across metal, glass, wood, ceramic, textile, and resin, often collaborating with international craft studios. He holds a BFA in Furniture Design from RISD (2011) and is represented in New York by Friedman Benda, where he has held multiple solo exhibitions. He divides his time between Brooklyn and Hudson, New York, and has collaborated with the Eswatini weaving collective Gone Rural on an ongoing textile series begun in 2015. His work is held in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum, the Corning Museum of Glass, the Dallas Museum of Art, LACMA, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and he opened his first institutional solo exhibition, Under the Wobble Moon, at Museum Villa Stuck in 2022.
