On select dates within Sculpting the Senses, van Herpen sits at a table inside the galleries and invites visitors to join her in quiet, meditative handwork, pleating fabric together as conversation unfolds. Rather than a fixed object, the resulting dress accumulates each participant's individual movements and exchanges, with memorable moments from the conversations later embroidered into its interior, reframing couture-making as a shared, real-time act rather than a solitary gesture.
