David Yum Architects

David Yum Architects (DYA), founded 2000, is a New York City-based residential and institutional architecture firm led by principal David Yum, who previously worked in the offices of Shelton, Mindel & Associates; Gwathmey Siegel; David Chipperfield Architects; and Alvaro Siza. The firm's work spans the NYC metro area, the West Coast, Hawaii, and Asia. Yum has taught design at Harvard, NJIT, the Boston Architectural Center, and FIT. In 2025 the firm's reconstruction of the Soldiers and Sailors Arch at Grand Army Plaza received a Preservation Award from the New York Landmarks Conservancy.
