KWH Furniture

KWH Furniture is the Brooklyn-based furniture design and fabrication studio of RISD-trained designer Kai-wei Hsu, operating from the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The studio makes clean-lined, handcrafted wood furniture using traditional joinery methods, offering both a standing collection and limited-edition, one-off pieces. Hsu, a graduate of RISD's furniture design program, has said his years living and traveling in Asia shaped his design sensibility toward restraint and simplicity. Notable pieces include a white-oak bar cart with a cerused finish and wood-splice joinery at its outer frame corners, and a black-walnut vanity table with an oiled finish and closely fitted drawers, both covered in design press profiles of Brooklyn furniture makers.
