Piscina

Piscina is a shared woodworking, metalworking, and ceramics workshop in Red Hook, Brooklyn, founded in 2013 by designer Natalie Shook. About 40 independent makers work from the space, and its ground-floor showroom at 392A Van Brunt Street mounts rotating exhibitions of furniture, objects, and works on paper by resident and outside designers. Shook, a Cuban-American artist, moved to New York to study painting at the Cooper Union before turning to carpentry and fabrication; her debut furniture collection won Best New Designer and Best in Show at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in 2022. The shared building also houses Camber Studio, the architecture practice of her husband, Wes Rozen.
