Custom solid-wood furniture manufacturer and workshop in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, founded by Scott Jordan in 1980 as a small cabinet shop in Brooklyn Heights specializing in chair caning and furniture repair. The business moved its workshop to Williamsburg in 1986, opened a Manhattan retail showroom in SoHo in 1991, and relocated production to the Brooklyn Navy Yard in 1998, adopting CAD/CAM computer-controlled machinery the following year to allow custom, one-at-a-time manufacturing rather than batch production. Produces sofa beds, platform beds, dining and living-room furniture, and bedroom cabinetry using sustainably sourced hardwoods such as cherry, walnut, and oak, combining traditional joinery with CAD/CAM-driven production. Also offers furniture repair and refinishing.
